Deelname aan die Vereniging se fotokompetisie het jaarliks toegeneem en ons nooi weer eens alle lede van die Vereniging uit om aan die 2022 Amateur Fotokompetisie deel te neem. Die doel van die kompetisie is om die fotoportefeulje van die Vereniging uit te brei. Die 2022 kompetisie is oop vanaf 1 Oktober 2021 tot en met 30 September 2022. Lede kan 5 fotos per maand inskryf oor die kategorië van hulle keuse soos hier onder uiteengesit.

Beoordelaars sal die foto’s volgens die temas van die jaar se kompetisie beoordeel en deur middel van ʼn puntestelsel konstruktiewe terugvoer aan die fotograwe gee om lede aan te moedig om hulle vaardighede te verbeter. Sell-/slimfoon en tablet fotos sal ook terugvoer kry in die vorm van kommentaar alleenlik.


Inskrywings word maandeliks beoordeel. Erkenning aan kwalifiserende foto’s word as volg toegeken:

  • 60% tot 74%: Brons sertifikaat
  • 75% tot 89%: Silwer sertifikaat
  • 90% tot 100%: Goue sertifikaat

Alle foto’s wat sertifikate verdien sal op die Vereniging se gala-aand vertoon word met volledige erkenning aan die lid en tak. Die sertifikate sal op die lid se aanlyn-profiel gevoeg word sodat lede ooreenstemmende fotografie lapkentekens via hulle takke kan bestel.


Slegs die eerste brons, silwer of goue sertifikaat vir die jaar sal outomaties op die lid se profiel geplaas word, maar lede kan die daaropvolgende sertifikate aanvra. Alle foto’s wat sertifikate verdien sal maandeliks op die vereniging se webwerf geplaas word.


Aan die einde van die jaar word ʼn wenner in elke kategorie aangewys en ʼn Foto-van-die-jaar gekies. Die wenner van die Foto-van-die-Jaar, sal na die Vereniging se gala-aand genooi word.

 

Die kategorieë vir die 2022 Amateur Fotokompetisie is soos volg:

    1) Fauna en Flora DSLR / spiëlloos (alles in die natuur inheems tot Suider Afrika)
    2) Fauna en Flora Slimfoon (alles in die natuur inheems tot Suider Afrika)
    3) Takaktiwiteite DSLR / spieëlloos / slimfoon (al die doen en late op takvalk)
    4) Die Skietbaan DSLR / spieëlloos / slimfoon (al die aktiwiteite op die skietbaan, let wel, vuurwapen en skietbaan veiligheid met te alles tyd gehandhaaf word wanneer fotos geneem word)
    5) Die Jagveld DSLR / spieëlloos / slimfoon (Mense en diere in die jagveld, let wel, nie diere wat geskiet is nie, stuur dit vir die tydskrif by This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. )

 

Reëls vir die Kompetisie

  1. Die kompetisies is oop vir alle opbetaalde lede van SA Jagters maar is uitsluitlik vir amateurfotograwe (persone wat nie fotografie as ʼn beroep beoefen nie)
  2. Inskrywings is gratis.
  3. Deelnemers mag slegs foto’s inskryf wat hulleself geneem het en dus die kopiereg op die foto besit.
  4. Deur in te skryf, gee deelnemers aan SA Jagters toestemming om die foto’s onbeperk vir die Vereniging se doeleindes te gebruik, maar met volle erkenning aan die fotograaf.
  5. Slegs 5 inskrywings per lid per maand word aanvaar.
  6. Inskrywings moet een foto per e-pos ingestuur word.

      1. Naam en van
      2. SA Jagters-lidnommer
      3. SA Jagters-tak
      4. Selfoonnommer
      5. E-pos adres
      6. Kategorie waaronder die foto ingeskryf is

      8. Titel van die foto
      9. Kamera en lens model (lens nie vir slimfone nie)
  8. Foto’s moet groter as 2MB en kleiner as 5MB wees.
  9. Alle metadata moet sigbaar wees en nie geblok wees nie.
  10. Finaliste mag versoek word om die hoër kwaliteit of oorspronklike, onveranderde formaat van die foto te verskaf vir beoordeling.
  11. Foto’s mag verbeter word met basiese verstellings soos kleur, beligting, kontras en grootte (crop), maar mag nie verander word nie. Geen elemente mag bygevoeg word nie en die agtergronde mag nie verander word nie.
  12. Geen vignetting en raamwerk (border) nie.
  13. Slimfoonfoto’s word aanvaar met die volgende voorwaardes: geen HDR filters, geen effekte soos live focus, geen kleurverbetering en geen raamwerk (border)
  14. Slimfoonfoto’s moet met perspektief (ratio) 3:4 afgeneem word. Geen ''full frame'' foto’s sal aanvaar word nie.
  15. Foto’s moet geen watermerke, handtekeninge of ander erkenningsmerke bevat nie.
  16. Beide volkleur en swart-en-wit foto’s word aanvaar maar aangesien volkleur vir meer doeleindes gebruik kan word, vra ons dat lede wat swart-en-wit foto’s inskryf ook die volkleur foto saamstuur vir die vereniging se foto portefeulje.
  17. Die sluitingsdatum vir inskrywings is 30 September 2022. 
  18. Dit is deelnemende lede se verantwoordelikheid om te verseker dat hulle die reëls van die kompetisie verstaan en nakom. Rig enige navrae aan This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
  19. Die wenners in elke kategorie sal voor SA Jagters se galadinee op www.sahunters.co.za en in die SA Jagters nuusbrief bekend gemaak word.
  20. Die beoordelaars se beslissing is finaal en geen korrespondensie in die verband sal gevoer word nie.

 

 

SA Hunters Photography Competition


Participation in the Association’s photography competition has grown year after year, and once again, we invite all our members to take part in the 2022 Amateur Photography Competition. The purpose of the competition is to expand the Association’s photographic portfolio. The 2022 competition is open from 1 Octorber 2021 until 30 September 2022. Members can enter 5 photographs per month over the kategories of there choice as layed out below.


Judges will judge the photos according to the themes of this year's competition and give constructive feedback to the photographers through a points system to encourage members to improve their skills. Cell-/smartphone and tablet photos will also receive feedback in the form of comments only.


Entries will be adjudicated monthly and commendation will be as follows:  

  • 60% to 74%: Bronze certificate
  • 75% to 89%: Silver certificate
  • 90% to 100%: Gold certificate

All commended photographs with full recognition of the photographer and branch will be included in a presentation at the Associations annual gala evening. The certificates will be added to the member’s online profile and winners may order the applicable badge via their branches.


Only the first-time bronze, silver, or gold certificate will be added automatically to the member’s online profile, but members may request subsequent certificates. All the photographs that were awarded certificates, will be added to the Association’s website monthly. 


At the end of the year, an overall winner for each category will be announced, as well as Photograph of the Year. The member that wins the Photograph of the Year award, will be invited to the Association’s Gala evening.


The categories for the 2022 Amateur Photo Competition are as follows:

1) Fauna and Flora DSLR / mirrorless (everything in nature, native to Southern Africa)
2) Fauna and Flora Smartphone (everything in nature, native to Southern Africa)
3) Branch activities DSLR / mirrorless / smartphone (all the goings-on at the branches of SA Hunters)
4) The Shooting Range DSLR / mirrorless / smartphone (all activities on the shooting range. Please note: firearm and shooting range safety must be maintained at all times when taking photos)
5) The Hunting Ground DSLR / mirrorless / smartphone (People and animals in the hunting ground, but no photos of the animals that was shot. Rules of the Competition

  1. The competition is open for all paid-up members of SA Hunters, but is exclusively for amateur photographs (people that do not practise photography as a profession)
  2. Entries are free.
  3. Participants may only enter their own photographs of which they own the copyright.
  4. By entering this competition, participants give SA Hunters permission to use their photographs without restriction, but with full acknowledgement of the photographer.
  5. Only 5 entries per member per month will be accepted.
  6. Entreis may only be one photo per email

      1. Name and surname
      2. SA Hunters member number
      3. SA Hunters branch
      4. Cellphone number
      5. E-mail address
      6. Location where the photograph was taken
      7. Category for which the photograph is entered into
      8. Title of photo
      9. Camera/smartfone and lens model (lens not for smartfones)
  8. Photographs must preferably be larger than 2MB but smaller than 5MB.
  9. All the metadata must be visible and not be blocked.
  10. Finalists may be requested to submit higher resolution versions of the original, unaltered format of the photograph for adjudication.
  11. Photographs may be improved with basic tools regarding colour, lighting, contrast, and size (cropping), but may not be altered and the backgrounds may not be changed.
  12. No vignetting and adding of borders.
  13. Smart phone photographs will be accepted provided that no HDR filters, special effects such as live focus, colour enhancement, and borders have been added.
  14. Smart phone photographs must meet the 3:4 ratio. No full frame photographs will be accepted.
  15. No watermarks, signatures or other acknowledgements may be added to the photographs.
  16. Both full colour and black-and-white photographs will be accepted, but since full colour photographs can be used in more applications, we request members that submit black-and-white photographs, to also send us the full colour version for inclusion in the Association’s photograph portfolio.
  17. The closing date for entries is 30 September 2022.
