Taknuus   Branch News

Algemeen

Ag nee, maggies man, selfs 'n braaiworsie het 'n einde!

Kommunikasie vanaf nasionale kantoor

Jagsake
Biltonghangtyd raak al minder. Dis onbekend hoe die inperking jagplanne mag affekteer. Die tyd sal leer.

General
All SA Hunters' activities have been suspended due to the nation wide lockdown to curb the spread of Covid-19. As soon as the situation changes, we will let members know of the status of scheduled activities.

“When the lockdoiwn is over, we will...”….
Covid-19 affects us all and changed our lives drastically.
“Time, tide AND LOCK DOWN WAIT, for no man” is now a reality and things will never be the same again.

Members cleaned their firearms and safes over and over; they have reloaded and are waiting in anticipation to test their loads on paper target before we can go hunt again. Quality time round the campfire and our bush meditation are still on hold till after the lifting of the lockdown.

The lockdown is like being on te dance floor with your legs wobbly from exhaustion, but the band carries on playing.

Communication from the national office

We receive many queries on matters that Fred Camphor has dealt with in detail in his newsletters. We ask members to check that their e-mail addresses provided to the national office are still correct and working. It would appear that some members are not receiving the newsletters or they are simply not reading it. Your cooperation will be appreciated.

Conservation
Thanks to Ernst Wienand and Eric for saving the lives of three owlets that have been relocated to ENDICOTT.  Several other feathered friends have recovered sufficiently after successful treatment and have been released.

Hunting affairs
Hunting season is around the corner. At this stage is is uncertain when the lockdown will be lifted for hunting.
